I was unable to keep this dress due to a change in plans. Here are my concerns & observations: First, the fabric is fairly heavy as you’d expect with sequins but it’s good fabric. Sequins are well secured and edges are finished well, so I didn’t experience any shedding during try on and felt secure that I would not during wear. Second, I ordered a 2x and was concerned about fit. I usually avoid anything with an elasticized waist because it can be very unflattering on larger sizes. I’d read reviews saying it was too short as well. I found the elastic waist to be not noticeable at all and it sat at my natural waist. I also found it to be a very flattering length. Above the knee by a little. So, yes it’s on the shorter side but I would not feel uncomfortable moving in it. For reference, I’m 5’6” and wear an 18/20 ish, 46DD. Which reminds me, the neckline would have needed some tape to hold it in place, since this was for A Work Thing. The cut is so nice that even though I’m nearly 50 and seem to be losing some waist definition, it gave the impression of an hourglass figure.
This dress was super comfortable for my cocktail hour. I am 5’7 it was perfect length. The material was soft. I received many complements in this dress.

If you’re tall, this dress is quite short! But it is beautiful!
Would have been a great dress if it had been smaller up top. Bought the XS but too large in the shoulders, so it was too low cut.
